Roulette in Las Vegas: Single-Zero Wheels, Cheap Tables and the Odds

Roulette in Las Vegas: Single-Zero Wheels, Cheap Tables and the Odds

Updated October 2026. Table counts from the Nevada Gaming Control Board (12 months through August 2026); odds from the Wizard of Odds.

Roulette is one of the easiest games in Las Vegas to sit down and play: pick your numbers, place your chips, watch the ball. But not every roulette wheel in Vegas is the same, and the wheel you choose can nearly triple the house edge.

Here’s how to tell the wheels apart, where to find the best (and cheapest) roulette in Las Vegas, and which bet to skip.

The Short Answer: Check the Zeros

Look at the wheel before you buy in. The number of green zero pockets decides your odds:

WheelGreen pocketsHouse edge
Single zero (European)02.70%
Double zero (American)0, 005.26%
Triple zero0, 00, 0007.69%

A single-zero wheel is the best roulette game you’ll find in Las Vegas, but it’s rare. A triple-zero wheel is the one to walk away from. Some casinos disguise the third zero as a logo on the wheel and layout, so count the green pockets, not just the numbers.

Where to Find Single-Zero Roulette in Las Vegas

Vegas Advantage’s 2026 roulette survey counts single-zero wheels at a few more casinos, with minimums from $15 to $100. Single-zero tables aren’t always open, so ask before you go.

Where to Find Cheap Roulette in Las Vegas

The cheapest roulette is off the Strip. In Covers’ June 2026 survey:

  • Jerry’s Nugget (North Las Vegas) dealt roulette from $2, and Gold Coast from $3.
  • $5 tables: The Orleans, Oyo, Tuscany, Arizona Charlie’s, Rampart, South Point and Suncoast.
  • $10 tables: many Downtown and locals casinos.
  • The Strip: most casinos started at $15.

Minimums change by the hour and go up on busy nights, so check the sign on the table.

Where the Roulette Tables Are

About seven in ten of Clark County’s roulette tables are on the Strip:

Watch Out for Triple Zero

Many Strip casinos deal triple-zero roulette alongside double-zero, often at the same minimum, though a few (including Wynn, Encore and Treasure Island) have removed theirs. Vegas Advantage’s May 2026 survey found only triple-zero roulette at Luxor and Circus Circus. When a casino offers both, the double-zero table is always the better bet at the same minimum.

The One Bet to Skip

On a double-zero wheel, the five-number bet (0, 00, 1, 2 and 3) carries a 7.89% edge, worse than every other bet on the table. Every other bet on that wheel costs the same 5.26%, so choose the bets you enjoy.

Is Roulette a Good Bet in Vegas?

Roulette is easy and social, but even single-zero roulette has a higher house edge than the best bets in blackjack, craps or baccarat. See how it compares with every other game in our guide to the best odds in Las Vegas, or try our guide to craps in Las Vegas.
