Blackjack in Las Vegas: Where to Find 3:2 Tables, Cheap Games and the Best Rules
Updated October 2026. Table counts from the Nevada Gaming Control Board (12 months through August 2026); rule effects from the Wizard of Odds.
Blackjack is the most popular table game in Las Vegas, and it can be the best bet in the casino. Can be. The difference between a good blackjack table and a bad one is bigger than most players realize, and it’s printed right on the felt.
Here’s how to spot a good blackjack game, where to find 3:2 blackjack and cheap tables in Las Vegas, and which rules cost you the most.

The Short Answer: Look for 3:2
Before you sit down, read the felt. It should say “Blackjack pays 3 to 2.” On a $10 bet, a natural blackjack pays $15 at a 3:2 table and only $12 at a 6:5 table. That one rule adds about 1.39 percentage points to the house edge, more than every other rule on this page combined.
A good 3:2 game played with basic strategy has one of the lowest house edges in the casino: about 0.28% under liberal Vegas rules and 0.43% under Atlantic City rules, according to the Wizard of Odds. A 6:5 game gives most of that advantage back to the house.
Blackjack Rules That Change Your Odds
| Rule | Effect on your odds |
|---|---|
| Blackjack pays 6:5 instead of 3:2 | −1.39% |
| Dealer hits soft 17 (instead of standing) | −0.22% |
| Double down on 10 or 11 only | −0.18% |
| No doubling after a split | −0.14% |
| Late surrender allowed | +0.08% |
| Resplitting aces allowed | +0.08% |
| Double deck instead of eight decks | +0.19% |
| Single deck instead of eight decks | +0.48% |
Source: Wizard of Odds, blackjack basics, rule variations compared with standard U.S. rules (eight decks, dealer stands on soft 17, double after split allowed). A minus sign favors the house.
Be careful with single-deck games. If a single-deck table pays 6:5, the payout costs you 1.39% while the single deck only gives back 0.48%, so a 3:2 shoe game is the better bet.
Where to Find 3:2 Blackjack in Las Vegas
3:2 blackjack is still easy to find in Las Vegas, but on the Strip it usually comes with a higher minimum. Vegas Advantage’s May 2026 Strip survey found 3:2 minimums usually $25 or $50, as low as $15, and up to $100 at busy times.
In Covers’ March 2026 survey of 3:2 tables:
- On the Strip, $25 or less: Cosmopolitan, Excalibur, New York-New York, Planet Hollywood, Treasure Island and The Strat. Aria, Encore, Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand also had 3:2 tables at $25 or less when slow (think weekday mornings and afternoons).
- Downtown, $25 or less: California, Circa, The D, El Cortez, Fremont, Golden Gate, Golden Nugget, Main Street Station and Plaza.
Where to Find Cheap Blackjack in Las Vegas
For 3:2 blackjack at $10 or less, Covers found tables at:
- Downtown: Downtown Grand.
- Just off the Strip: Ellis Island, Oyo and Tuscany.
- Locals casinos: Aliante, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur, Boulder Station, Cannery, Jerry’s Nugget, M Resort, Rampart, South Point and Suncoast.
Some of these occasionally drop to $5 a hand at quiet times. Minimums change by the hour, rise on busy nights and holiday weekends, and the same casino can deal both 3:2 and 6:5 tables. Always check the sign and the felt.
Where the Blackjack Tables Are
About two-thirds of Clark County’s blackjack tables are on the Strip:

| Downtown / Fremont Street | 13 | 190 |
| Rest of Clark County (Summerlin, Henderson and other locals areas) | 9 | 188 |
| Boulder Highway area | 6 | 76 |
| North Las Vegas | 4 | 26 |

How to Play Your Best
- Learn basic strategy. A basic strategy chart tells you when to hit, stand, double and split. The house edges above assume you follow it.
- Skip the side bets. They usually carry a much higher house edge than the main game.
- Join the players club. Your table play earns comps and offers, but only if the dealer has your card.
- Set a budget. Even the best blackjack game has a house edge, so decide before you sit down.
